CA-26: Exposing David Dreier As Bush's Rubber Stamp

Today, I am excited to announce that the Courage Campaign, a California-based progressive organization for whom I also work, has launched our campaign to expose David Dreier (who represents the 26th district of California) for what he really is: one of George W. Bush's most reliable rubber stamps.

While his reputation in the district is that of a "moderate" "independent" voice in congress, the reality is that David Dreier is one of George Bush's greatest obstructionist allies, having voted for everything from the war in Iraq to Dick Cheney's energy bill as well as against raising the minimum wage, expanding education benefits for veterans, extending unemployment benefits for those hardest hit by the economy and the recent anti-gas price gouging bill. This guy's unbelievable. But yet so many in his district still think of Dreier as a sort of above the fray moderate and as someone who truly represents them.

Sorry, Congressman, the honeymoon's over.

For a partial, although damning, catalog of some of his worst votes, check out our website, which is live as of today over at, what else: BushRubberStamp.com.

We've also produced the first of what we hope will be several ads exposing Dreier's Bush rubber stamp record. Watch it below and do me a favor and please spread it around and rate it up.

Ideally, our goal is to air the ad on cable TV in the district, but since we are a people-powered organization we depend on donations from our members and you guys, so if you like the ad, please consider helping us get the ad up on the air HERE.

You'll be hearing a lot more from me regarding this campaign as we move forward and I hope you'll help me spread the word about both our website and the ad campaign to expose David Dreier's Bush rubber stamp record.

A certain Russ Warner.  Pretty decent guy.

But this campaign isn't affiliated with that.  This is just trying to get the message out about Dreier.

It's all about McCain/Bush now...

There is much more to expose on Dreier... (none / 0)

...as Sam Seder says about Sen. Huckleberry Graham. " Would somebody please close the closet door."

that's true--but the question is, would it do any good, and would people really care?

Probably not. It is just how we let right wingers get away with outrageous lies on these issues.
